Although medications remain a cornerstone of treatment, first-line antidepressants are often associated with significant side effects. Pueraria, a plant rich in isoflavonoid active ingredients, has demonstrated neuroprotective effects; however, the specific mechanisms behind its antidepressant components have not been fully elucidated.
