ZNRD1-AS1 Promotes Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Cell Invasion and Metastasis by Regulating the miR-335-ROCK1 Axis.

  • Qiang Wang‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are known as key regulators in many cancer types, but their biological functions in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) remain largely unknown. In the present study, we aim to explore the role of the lncRNA ZNRD1-AS1 in NPC tumor development.

HNF1A-AS1 Regulates Cell Migration, Invasion and Glycolysis via Modulating miR-124/MYO6 in Colorectal Cancer Cells.

  • Xiong Guo‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

Accumulating evidence determined that lncRNAs play multiple roles in cell progression in colorectal cancer (CRC). Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 homeobox A (HNF1A)-antisense RNA 1 (AS1) has been identified to affect cell growth and disease diagnosis in various cancers, including CRC. However, the underlying regulatory mechanism of HNF1A-AS1 in cell progression and glycolysis has not been fully explored in CRC.

HIPK3 Promotes Growth and Metastasis of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma via Regulation of miR-599/c-MYC Axis.

  • Yufeng Ba‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

this experimental design was based on HIPK3 to explore the pathogenesis of ESCC.

Circ_0057553/miR-515-5p Regulates Prostate Cancer Cell Proliferation, Apoptosis, Migration, Invasion and Aerobic Glycolysis by Targeting YES1.

  • Yang Zhang‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

Prostate cancer (PCa) is one of the most common malignant cancer in males worldwide. Circular RNAs (CircRNAs) are novel type of non-coding RNAs. Recently, circRNAs have been reported participating in various cancers, including prostate cancer. However, the function and mechanism of circ_0057553 remain to be elucidated.

Long Noncoding RNA CCDC144NL-AS1 Promotes the Oncogenicity of Osteosarcoma by Acting as a Molecular Sponge for microRNA-490-3p and Thereby Increasing HMGA2 Expression.

  • Juliang He‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2021‎

The long noncoding RNA CCDC144NL antisense RNA 1 (CCDC144NL-AS1) exhibits important functions in gastric cancer. In this study, we aimed to investigate the roles of CCDC144NL-AS1 in modulating the phenotype of osteosarcoma (OS) cells in vitro and in vivo and elucidate its underlying mechanisms.

LINC01224 Exhibits Cancer-Promoting Activity in Epithelial Ovarian Cancer Through microRNA-485-5p-Mediated PAK4 Upregulation.

  • Shujian Xing‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

Long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1224 (LINC01224) plays vital roles in the tumorigenesis and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma. Here, we determined LINC01224 expression in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) tissues and cells. We also assessed the effects of LINC01224 knockdown on the malignant phenotype of EOC cells both in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, the detailed molecular mechanisms underlying the oncogenic actions of LINC01224 in EOC cells were elucidated.

Long Noncoding RNA SNHG7, a Molecular Sponge for microRNA-485, Promotes the Aggressive Behavior of Cervical Cancer by Regulating PAK4.

  • Fei Wu‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

A long noncoding RNA called small nucleolar RNA host gene 7 (SNHG7) is known to be a key regulator of biological processes in multiple human cancer types. In this study, our aims were to determine the expression status of SNHG7 in cervical cancer, to figure out the detailed roles of SNHG7 in cervical cancer cells, and to identify the mechanism underlying the activity of SNHG7 in cervical cancer.

CircLARP4 Suppresses Cell Proliferation, Invasion and Glycolysis and Promotes Apoptosis in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer by Targeting miR-135b.

  • Huawei Lu‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

CircLARP4 is reported to act as a tumor suppressor in some cancers. However, the detailed roles and molecular basis of circLARP4 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumorigenesis are still unclear. The aim of the study is to explore the potential roles and molecular basis of circLARP4 in NSCLC tumorigenesis.

Long Noncoding RNA X-Inactive Specific Transcript Facilitates Cellular Functions in Melanoma via miR-139-5p/ROCK1 Pathway.

  • Ke Tian‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2020‎

Although X-inactive specific transcript (XIST) is known to play a critical role in the pathogenesis of melanoma, the mechanisms through which this remains unclear.

LINC00460 Promotes Cell Proliferation, Migration, Invasion, and Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition of Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma via miR-320a/BGN Axis.

  • Yifan Yang‎ et al.
  • OncoTargets and therapy‎
  • 2021‎

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play critical roles in cancer onset and development, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). This study aimed to investigate the biological role of LINC00460 and the mechanisms underlying epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in HNSCC.
