Pan-cancer analysis, cell and animal experiments revealing TEAD4 as a tumor promoter in ccRCC.

  • Fang Li‎ et al.
  • Life sciences‎
  • 2022‎

Transcriptional enhanced associate domain (TEAD) transcription factor family, a very important family in the hippo signaling pathway, has been found to play oncogenic functions in the occurrence of various malignant tumors. However, the expression of TEADs in pan-cancer and the important role of TEAD4 in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) have not been analyzed. Herein, we aim to evaluate the expression of TEADs in pan-cancer, and focus on analyzing the role of TEAD4 in the progression of ccRCC.

Pan-cancer analysis and experiments with cell lines reveal that the slightly elevated expression of DLGAP5 is involved in clear cell renal cell carcinoma progression.

  • Yun Feng‎ et al.
  • Life sciences‎
  • 2021‎

Discs large-associated protein 5 (DLGAP5), a kinetochore fibers-binding protein, functions as a oncoprotein in many cancers. However, its expression patterns in pan-cancer including clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) are not analyzed. Herein, we aimed to evaluate its expression in more common cancers, especially in ccRCC.

Pt3R5G inhibits colon cancer cell proliferation through inducing ferroptosis by down-regulating SLC7A11.

  • Lin Han‎ et al.
  • Life sciences‎
  • 2022‎

Colon cancer (CC) is a prevalent malignancy worldwide and is one of the most easily altered cancers by dietary regulation. Petunidin 3-O-[rhamnopyranosyl-(trans-p-coumaroyl)]-5-O-(β-D-glucopyranoside) (Pt3R5G) isolated and purified from Lycium ruthenicum Murray, which exhibits highly efficient antioxidant activity and specific anticancer effects, is the flavonoids compound. We aimed to study the effect of Pt3R5G on CC cells and elucidate the potential underlying mechanisms.
