Long-term effects of neoadjuvant radiotherapy, adjuvant radiotherapy, and chemotherapy-only on survival of locally advanced non-small cell lung Cancer undergoing surgery: a propensity-matched analysis.

  • Xinyu Wang‎ et al.
  • BMC cancer‎
  • 2018‎

The optimal timing of radiotherapy (RT) with respect to surgery remains controversial for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA NSCLC) undergoing surgery and the long-term effect of neoadjuvant RT, adjuvant RT, and chemotherapy-only on survival is unknown.

Distinct tumour antigen-specific T-cell immune response profiles at different hepatocellular carcinoma stages.

  • Chaoran Zang‎ et al.
  • BMC cancer‎
  • 2021‎

Cancer-testis antigens (CTAs) and tumour-associated antigens (TAAs) are frequently expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); however, the role of tumour-antigen-specific T cell immunity in HCC progression is poorly defined. We characterized CTA- and TAA-specific T cell responses in different HCC stages and investigated their alterations during HCC progression.

New insights of the correlation between AXIN2 polymorphism and cancer risk and susceptibility: evidence from 72 studies.

  • Xi Li‎ et al.
  • BMC cancer‎
  • 2021‎

Numerous studies have reported the correlation between AXIN2 polymorphism and cancer risk, but the results seem not consistent. In order to get an overall, accurate and updated results about AXIN2 polymorphism and cancer risk, we conducted this study.

Activated innate lymphoid cell populations accumulate in human tumour tissues.

  • Maryam Salimi‎ et al.
  • BMC cancer‎
  • 2018‎

Innate lymphoid cells (ILC) are part of a heterogeneous family of haematopoietic effector cells which lack re-arranged antigen-specific receptors. They promote host defense and contribute to tissue and metabolic homeostasis, wound healing and immune surveillance. Their role in human cancer immunity is less defined, and therefore we aimed to identify the frequency and phenotype of distinct ILC groups in various types of cancer.
