USC Flow Cytometry Core

THIS RESOURCE IS NO LONGER IN SERVICE. Documented on April 15,2024. USC Flow Cytometry Core Facility offers our extended research community with the technology to selectively analyze and sort specific populations of cells up to Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2). The USC Flow Core maintains the following devices: Two analytic cytometers (LSR II, CyAn) Two cell sorting cytometers (Aria I, Aria II) One plate imaging system (Cellomics) Available laser lines include: UV (355nm) Violet (405nm) Blue (488nm) Red (633nm) *Both Aria I/II cell sorters are contained in state of the art BioSero Class II Type B Biosafety Cabinets. The USC Flow Cytometry Core has been used by prominent scientists in Southern California to address questions in adult and embryonic stem cell research, regenerative medicine, cellular immunology, cell biology, chemical carcinogenesis, radiology, human tumor cell cycle kinetics, drug efficacy trials, and in characterizing the differences between blood samples between patients and healthy donors.
