  • Xuemei Lv‎ et al.
  • Cancer cell international‎
  • 2019‎

Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a specific subtype of breast cancer with a poor prognosis due to its aggressive biological behaviour and lack of therapeutic targets. We aimed to explore some novel genes and pathways related to TNBC prognosis through bioinformatics methods as well as potential initiation and progression mechanisms.

  • Rong-Quan He‎ et al.
  • Cancer cell international‎
  • 2021‎

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains one of the most common malignant neoplasms. Lysophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase 1 (LPCAT1) plays a key role in the lipid remodelling and is correlated with various neoplasms. Nonetheless, the biological functions and molecular mechanisms of LPCAT1 underlying HCC remain obscure.

Cancer-related circular RNA: diverse biological functions.

  • Dan Cheng‎ et al.
  • Cancer cell international‎
  • 2021‎

Noncoding RNAs, including long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), microRNAs (miRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs), are involved in regulating biological functions. In recent decades, miRNAs and lncRNAs have both inspired a wave of research, but the study of circRNA functions is still in its infancy. Studies have found that circRNAs actively participate in the occurrence and development of various diseases, which emphasizes the importance of circRNAs. Here, we review the features and classification of circRNAs and summarize their functions. Then, we briefly describe how to analyze circRNAs by bioinformatics procedures. In addition, the relationship between circRNAs and cancers is discussed with an emphasis on proving whether circRNAs can be potential biomarkers for the prognosis and diagnosis of cancer.

  • Cancer cell international‎
  • 2020‎

Activating transcription factor 2 (ATF2), a member of the activator protein 1 (AP-1) transcription factor family, has been shown to be involved in the pathobiology of numerous cancers. However, the biological role and mechanism of ATF2 in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains to be elucidated.

EZH2 inhibitors-mediated epigenetic reactivation of FOSB inhibits triple-negative breast cancer progress.

  • Ruishan Zhang‎ et al.
  • Cancer cell international‎
