Proper Citation: CHB Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RRID:SCR_009714)
Description: Core facility that provides the following services: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) access. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR or MRI) at Children''s Hospital Boston performs pediatric MRIs in a friendly, child-centered environment designed to make your child''s experience as pleasant as possible. Our dedicated staff has years of experience imaging children and teens. Physicians order MRI studies to rule out or diagnose diseases. The technology produces incredibly detailed pictures of your child''s organs, bones and tissues without using ionizing radiation (X-rays). Instead, it uses strong magnets, radiofrequency waves and powerful computers to generate 2- and 3-dimensional images of a given organ or body part. We use protocols and procedures developed specifically for babies and children, which means age-appropriate care for your child and the best possible images for the radiologist.
