Description: Project targeting vulnerable plaques causing unexpected acute myocardial infarcts and sudden cardiac deaths by identifying and validating novel drug targets as well as devising and validating diagnostic tests. It has been designed to advance the present knowledge on the role of inflammatory remodeling in the different stages of atherosclerosis. It will also provide important knowledge for the development of strategies for prevention and clinical management of vascular diseases.
