Description: Automated pellet feeder for circadian, metabolic and behavioral studies in mice and rats. A rotating hopper delivers individual 30–300 mg Bio-Serv pellets into a metal chute that presents each pellet to the subject through the wire cage lid; each pellet taken is logged as a timestamped event in PhenomeLab software, giving a continuous per-subject record of feeding activity across the light/dark cycle. Timed delivery supports restricted and time-controlled feeding protocols. Feeders are available in single- or dual-cage configurations, fit standard Tecniplast caging (1144B, 1284L, GMX500) without cage modification, and communicate over a two-wire RS485 interface shared with Phenome Technologies circadian cabinets. An optional PIR sensor provides motion-based activity data for subjects without running wheels.
