Description: Core facility that provides the following services: Desktop sequence analysis tools subscription, Database and web applications support, Genomic-scale sequencing analysis, Sequence analysis application support, Transcript profiling consultation service, Transcript profiling application support, Transcript profiling data analysis, Automating large or repetitive tasks, Web space for biological databases, Bioinformatics/genomics resource identification, and Data storage. The bioinformatics staff of the Penn Molecular Profiling Facility is available to provide experimental design and analytical services to users of the Facility and the basic and biomedical research community. Additional services are provided, including grant support, data management and custom computational projects. This facility provides one-on-one training and hosts instructional workshops. Their goal is to ensure that scientists across the University are able to exploit existing and emerging computational technologies, especially related to their genomics scale datasets.
