Issue
Please see attached publication that shows this antibody is unable to recognise overexpressed TRPA1 by western blotting or immunoflourescence in 3 separate lots of the antibody. It also shows that when immunocapture mass spec is performed with samples known to contain TRPA1 (as confirmed using better performing antibodies), the main target is vimentin, and TRPA1 is not pulled down. Western blotting further confirms strong reactivity to vimentin, and sequence analysis of the immunising peptide confirms significant overlap with vimentin. In summary, multiple lots of this antibody could not recognise TRPA1. It did strongly react to vimentin (a higher expressed protein).
