Vector Backbone Description: Backbone Size:7166; Vector Backbone:modified pMIG; Vector Types:Mammalian Expression, Retroviral; Bacterial Resistance:Ampicillin
Comments: Please acknowledge Dr. Yosef Refaeli (National Jewish Medical and Research Center) when using this plasmid in future publications. pMIGw is a bicistronic IRES-GFP containing vector which is a variant of pMIG that contains a posttranscriptional regulatory element from the woodchuck hepatitis virus. The WRE element increases export to the cytoplasm and boosts protein expression by 2-10 fold. IMPORTANT: This plasmid grows extremely slowly! Addgene recommends that when prepping DNA, you let your culture grow 18-20 hours (or more). Overnight will probably not be sufficient for a good prep.
