Issue
This antibody recognizes the bacterial β-galactosidase protein, but not the mammalian β-galactosidase protein. It has been used by authors to detect the mammalian protein, do not do this because it will not work.
"While endogenous mammalian β-galactosidase protein is used as a marker for senescent cells, while the E. coli β-galactosidase protein is a component of the versatile LacZ reporter system used for genetics experiments.
