Target Antigen: Synthetic (human) bombesin coupled to bovine thyroglobulin with glutaraldehyde.

Host Organism: rabbit

Clonality: polyclonal

Comments: Manufacturer Applications: Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluoresence; Note, The Bombesin Antibody was raised to synthetic human bombesin coupled to bovine thyroglobulin with glutaraldehyde. The ImmunoStar bombesin antiserum was quality control tested using standard immunohistochemical methods. The antiserum demonstrates strongly positive labeling of rat dorsal horn of spinal cord using indirect immunofluorescent and biotin/avidin-HRP techniques. Recommended primary dilutions are 1/400-1/600 in PBS/0.3% Triton X-100 - Cy3 Technique and 1/1,000-1/2,000 in PBS/0.3% Triton X-100 - Bn/Av-HRP Technique. Staining is completely eliminated by pretreatment of 1 mL of diluted antibody with 50 µg of bombesin.; Gene Symbol:

Authentication Plan

dkNET can assist you in preparing authentication plans for antibodies to comply with the NIH Submission Policy. The information can be used while planning your experiments or submitting grant applications. The authentication plan for antibodies is based on methods suggested in "A proposal for validation of antibodies" (Uhlen M et. al., 2016), the guideline published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology (Saper C, 2005)(2), and the example " Authentication of of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources "(Bandrowski A). For best practices for authenticating antibodies, check our Authentication Reports services.
