In 1921, Little used a mouse strain of Abby Lathrop, and female 57 was mated with male 52 to obtain C57BL. In 1937, two subfamilies, C57BL/6 and C57BL/10, were isolated from C57BL. In 1985, the strain was sent from Olac to the Institute of Laboratory Animals of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. In April 2015 and again in June 2018, Vital River imported the strain from the National Rodent Laboratory Animal Seed Center. Strain Name: C57BL/6JOlaCnc. Synonyms: C57BL/6Cnc. MGI ID MGI:6331559

Transcription factors of the nuclear factor κ B (NF-κB)/Rel family play a pivotal role in inflammatory and immune responses (1,2). There are five family members in mammals: RelA, c-Rel, RelB, NF-κB1 (p105/ p50), and NF-κB2 (p100/p52). Both p105 and p100 are proteolytically processed by the proteasome to produce p50 and p52, respectively. Rel proteins bind p50 and p52 to form dimeric complexes that bind DNA and regulate transcription. In unstimulated cells, NF-κB is sequestered in the cytoplasm by IκB inhibitory proteins (3-5). NFκB-activating agents can induce the phosphorylation of IκB proteins, targeting them for rapid degradation through the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway and releasing NF-κB to enter the nucleus where it regulates gene expression (6-8). NIK and IKKα (IKK1) regulate the phosphorylation and processing of NF-κB2 (p100) to produce p52, which is then translocated to the nucleus (9-11).

JMP (pronounced "jump") is a suite of computer programs for statistical analysis developed by the JMP business unit of SAS Institute.
Tamoxifen is a selective estrogen response modifier (SERM), protein kinase C inhibitor and anti-angiogenetic factor. Tamoxifen is a prodrug that is metabolized to active metabolites 4-hydroxytamoxifen (4-OHT) and endoxifen by cytochrome P450 isoforms CYP2D6 and CYP3A4. In breast cancer, the gene repressor activity of tamoxifen against ERBB2 is dependent upon PAX2. Blocks estradiol-stimulated VEGF production in breast tumor cells.
This is a symbol of the mouse strain named after the rodent naming principle by Vitalriver (Beijing, China), a joint venture of Charles River Laboratories in China. This symbol is used to distinguish it from the C57BL/6N strain of mice.
In April 2015 and June 2018, Vitallihua (Beijing, China) introduced C57BL/6 mice from the National Rodent Laboratory Animal Seed Center in China. To distinguish them from the company's existing C57BL/6N subline, they named the C57BL/6 mouse C57BL/6Cnc according to the rodent nomenclature.
Records waveform data, digital and marker information, and can generate waveform and digital outputs simultaneously for real-time, multi-tasking experiment control. Works with Spike2 to provide continuous acquisition tasks.
Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC), also known as Human Mononuclear Cells from Peripheral Blood (HMNC-PB), are cells possessing a single, round nucleus and are collected from the peripheral or circulating blood. These blood cells are a critical component in the immune system to fight infection and adapt to intruders. PBMCs give selective responses to the immune system and are the major cells in the human body immunity.
