Core provides instrumentation for determination of crystal structures using X-ray diffraction techniques. System in Biotech II is comprised of RU300HR X-ray generator, Osmic optics, MAR Image Plate System and Oxford liquid nitrogen cryogenic crystal cooler. LRB includes MicroMax-007 HF Microfocus rotating anode X-ray generator, Osmic optics and Saturn HG CCD detector mounted on AFC11 4-axis goniometer. Sample crystals can be cooled to -180˚C with CSCOBRA Cryogenic system. This system permits very rapid and accurate diffraction data collection.
