The use of virtual reality and augmented reality to enhance cardio-pulmonary resuscitation: a scoping review.

  • Katherine Kuyt‎ et al.
  • Advances in simulation (London, England)‎
  • 2021‎

Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) have been proposed as novel methods to enhance cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) performance and increase engagement with CPR training. A scoping review was conducted to map the global evolution of these new approaches to CPR training, to assess their efficacy and determine future directions to meet gaps in current knowledge.

Online group therapies for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and trauma-related disorders: a systematic review.

  • Luana D Laurito‎ et al.
  • Frontiers in human neuroscience‎
  • 2023‎

This systematic review examined the existing literature to determine the evidence supporting the efficacy of online group treatments for anxiety-, obsessive-compulsive- and trauma-related disorders (AOTDs).

Efficacy of virtual reality techniques in cardiopulmonary resuscitation training: protocol for a meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials and trial sequential analysis.

  • Jianqiao Zheng‎ et al.
  • BMJ open‎
  • 2022‎

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is the most critical procedure in the rescue of patients with sudden cardiac death (SCD). The success rate of CPR remains far below expectations, which made CPR education identified as the top priority for SCD. CPR training using the virtual reality (VR) technique is a feasible training method, with a wider population and lower cost, but its efficacy remains controversial. Thus, we will perform a protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis to identify the efficacy of the VR technique on CPR quality.

Dyadic Psychosocial eHealth Interventions: Systematic Scoping Review.

  • Kelly M Shaffer‎ et al.
  • Journal of medical Internet research‎
  • 2020‎

Dyadic psychosocial interventions have been found beneficial both for people coping with mental or physical health conditions as well as their family members and friends who provide them with support. Delivering these interventions via electronic health (eHealth) may help increase their scalability.

Implementation of online psychosocial interventions for people with neurological conditions and their caregivers: A systematic review protocol.

  • Melissa Miao‎ et al.
  • Digital health‎
  • 2021‎

As the burden of neurological conditions increases globally, online psychosocial interventions offer a potentially scalable solution to enabling healthcare access. However, their successful development and implementation require research into electronic healthcare implementation specifically.
