The foundation is the successor organization of the Open PHACTS project, and aims to ensure the sustainability of the Open PHACTS Discovery Platform infrastructure. OPF also acts as a hub for scientific research and development relevant to the life sciences, and serves as a forum for the scientific community, allowing idea exchange between the pharmaceutical industry, academia and SMEs. OPF is a UK-based not-for-profit membership organization, but operates in an international commercial environment.
