When NDSU debuted its pharmacy program in 1902, five students were enrolled. Today, more than 100 years later, pharmacy is one of five progressive health care education programs at NDSU. In May 2006, pharmacy, along with nursing, clinical laboratory science, radiologic science and respiratory care, became the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences. Today, more than 1,550 students are enrolled in the college's pre-professional, professional and graduate programs. Regardless of organizational changes, the college's core mission is the same: Produce the most competent, caring and ethical professionals possible.
